UCSF Education for Healthcare Providers on Care and Research During COVID-19

Overview

COVID-19 is a pandemic of historic proportions that is challenging providers and health systems alike. Our understanding is growing daily including understanding the biology of SARS-CoV-2 infection, epidemiology, the use of PPE, testing, therapeutics, and vaccine development. This course will improve the competence of all healthcare providers to fight this disease and provide the best quality of care for their patients during this crisis.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the current epidemiology of infection with COVID-19.
  • Describe steps to limit exposure to COVID-19 of your patients and staff in your individual practice setting.
  • Provide informed care for patients during this time, including implementing safety guidelines, communicating with patients, and addressing mental health concerns.
