Overview
The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California San Francisco invites you to attend its Imaging in Vancouver course on July 22- 26, 2024. The course will present a comprehensive state-of-the-art update on clinically relevant topics focusing on abdominal, thoracic, musculoskeletal, neuro, and pediatric imaging, as well as routine interventional procedures.
Presentations will be case-based and review indications that are commonly seen in general practice. The experienced faculty will address established protocols as well as updates to improve image acquisition and interpretation strategies. This will improve communication when recommending secondary imaging, referring cases to clinical and academic specialists, and reviewing follow-up imaging.

- Improve evaluation of common chest presentations including pulmonary infections and pulmonary embolism, intramural hematoma, and lung cancer including post-treatment sequela
- Recommend MR imaging protocols for shoulder trauma, knee ligaments and extensor mechanism, ankle and foot injuries, and muscle and bone stress injuries
- Interpret images of the head, neck, and spine, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spine infections, and emergency room spine and neuro presentations
- Analyze pediatric conditions in the head, lung, and abdomen utilizing ultrasound and chest radiography pearls
- Improve identification, indications, and follow-up for routine IR procedures including chest tubes, ablation of hepatic and renal tumors, gynecologic hemorrhage, and endoscopic procedures for kidney stones
