Overview
The Department of Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco, invites you to attend its Imaging in Lisbon course on September 15-20, 2024. This course is geared towards general diagnostic radiologists and subspecialty radiologist who also do general work (e.g. after hours call). The indications that will be discussed by the course faculty are commonly seen in general practice, and the updates addressed will improve their image acquisition and interpretation strategies and permit improved communication with referring specialists in both community and academic practice. Physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and radiology technologists may also find this information useful.
Objectives
An attendee completing this course will be able to:
- Improve appropriate use of radiation in medical imaging
- Provide greater consistency of recommendations for further work-up of suspected lung cancer, lesions of the abdomen and pelvis, and abnormalities in pediatric patients
- Improved precision of protocols for CT and MR sequences
- Avoid imaging pitfalls in the diagnosis of neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, pediatric, abdominal, and thoracic diseases
Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, the University of California, San Francisco is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
