August 20 - 22, 2026
Mission Bay Conference Center • San Francisco, CA
Course# MDM27F01 - Department: Medicine
Overview
The Rheumatology Board Review and Clinical Update course has been offered by UCSF since 1992 and will be presented as a hybrid conference - in person and virtually this year. Join us for three days of a live and live-streamed interactive conference which will include talks on major clinical topics in Rheumatology to assist physicians preparing for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Subspecialty Examination in Rheumatology. The course will provide up to date information for practicing clinicians seeking to improve their care for rheumatology patients. An additional series of prerecorded lectures and practice questions are also available to participants.
Target Audience
Trainees preparing for their initial board exam — as well as rheumatologists who are candidates for ABIM recertification — are the target audience. Diagnosing and managing complex and unusual clinical problems will be emphasized; an overview of significant advances related to clinical rheumatology will also be included.
Onsite and Remote Learning Options:
The course will be offered as a live conference. Registrants have the option to attend in person or to tune in remotely via zoom live stream during programming hours (Pacific Time). Login instructions along with the digital syllabus will be shared with attendees before the meeting. Included in your registration fee is access to the course recordings on demand after the conference and through the 2026 Board Exams. You must tune in to the live conference (in person or remotely) to claim CME.
Objectives
An attendee completing this course should be able to:
- Apply current, evidence-based standards of care to rheumatic diseases (including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, other systemic, autoimmune diseases, autoinflammatory diseases, spondyloarthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, crystalline arthritis, and soft tissue musculoskeletal pain syndromes);
