Overview
This program brings together members of the Abbott Orthopaedic Society and faculty and residents of the UCSF Department of Orthopaedics in a collaborative presentation of recent advances and updates in orthopaedic surgery. Our schedule of presentations will address current clinical and research topics that affect clinician decision-making in day-to-day practice.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Improve the management of the orthopaedic elderly patient, including considerations for elective surgery;
- Evaluate the pros and cons of managing musculoskeletal injuries and conditions without surgery;
- Describe the outcomes for revision ACL patients;
- Evaluate the impact of differences in access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations;
- Improve patient outcomes using best evidence and optimizing patient communication and shared-decision making.

In support of improving patient care, the University of California, San Francisco is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Physicians
UCSF designates this live activity for a maximum of 13.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
