The Department of Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco invites you to attend the Imaging Update on Maui course on October 19-24, 2025. The course will take place at the Hyatt Regency Maui located in Kaanapali on the shores of West Maui.

This course encompasses a diverse review of conventional and advanced imaging of the breast, chest, abdomen, central nervous system, and musculoskeletal system. The goal is to enhance the interpretation of imaging studies acquired in a wide range of common clinical scenarios. The course will provide an update on a variety of established clinical applications but will also cover emerging technologies. Practical approaches to imaging interpretation will be presented so as to be useful to radiologists from all types of clinical practice.

  • Form appropriate differential diagnosis based upon multi-modality imaging of the key organ systems
  • Apply strategies to minimize the exposure of patients to radiation
  • Accurately interpret subtle and challenging mammographic signs of breast cancer
  • Recognize pitfalls in the imaging of patients with treated and untreated lung cancer
  • Describe key findings of disease of the brain and spine on MRI
  • Recognize imaging signs of joint dysfunction in the knee, shoulder, ankle, and foot
